We asked 10 Healthcare Leaders the following questions about how they’re using analytics to transform their healthcare delivery, and they were kind enough to share their insights with us:

  1. What opportunities does adopting the use of analytics present?
  2. What are some of the key challenges to implementing an analytics strategy?
  3. How can we positively affect patient outcomes with the use of analytics?
  4. What is new/emerging in the field right now?

The change of healthcare from a Volume based business to a Value based business has changed the goal of healthcare from more work to smarter work. Smarter work is driven by real-time data analytics. As we change healthcare from a cottage industry where clinicians practice for thirty years as they were trained to a systematized process of care provision, we need to integrate tools that will work with clinicians and patients and their families to provide the kind of safe and efficacious care that we all expect from our healthcare system.
